Matt asked when do you think Akismet will hit 1,000,000,000 spams blocked and his readers commented. As of today, Akismet’s Live Spam Zeitgeist shows that 95% of all comments are spam.
I have to thank Akismet for its service – I’ve already hit 30,000 spam counts and the latest wave (in a matter of 10 hours) totaled 400 spam hits. Without it, blogging would be a bitch.
For those who haven’t, get the Akismet plugin or activate it if it’s already part of your blog interface. Every set of spam submission you make, helps Akismet refine its spam filter so that less false positives and more false negatives are caught.
